RJ began his real estate career as an independent real estate broker specializing in multi-family and residential investment properties throughout greater Los Angeles. Prior to forming Gold Leaf Group, RJ served as Senior Business Analyst and Manager of Financial Analysis for Wherehouse Entertainment Inc., a national music and entertainment retailer headquartered in Torrance, California. At WEI he helped oversee the company’s leasehold interests in over 600 retail stores nationwide and developed his extensive expertise in site analysis, lease negotiations and workout negotiations.

While completing his MBA at USC’s Marshal School of Business, RJ worked for MJW Investments, MJW is responsible for Santee Court, one of the largest residential and retail adaptive reuse projects in Downtown L.A.’s Fashion District. RJ’s duties included pricing analyses for residential and retail leasing activities at Santee Court, as well as analyzing potential acquisition targets for redevelopment projects throughout Southern California.

Since 2005, RJ has helped countless dentists and physicians open new practices in Southern California.   Understanding key factors that drive landlords’ decision processes, he works with healthcare professionals seeking to lease real estate for new and expanding practices. He also guides established dentists, doctors and medical groups in acquiring medical buildings of their own. Using his extensive network of real estate owners, developers, property managers and real estate brokers, he is able to secure prime locations with the best terms possible.

RJ holds a B.A. in Economics from UCLA and an MBA with a specialization in Real Estate Finance from USC’s Marshall School of Business. In addition, RJ has earned a Certificate in Real Estate Investments from UCLA Extension.

RJ serves as a member of the Board of Directors of POLAM Federal Credit Union and participates in fundraising efforts for the Ketchum Downtown L.A. YMCA and Ronald McDonald House, Pasadena. He lives in Pasadena with his wife and daughter, and enjoys outdoor sports such as, cycling, and watching international and club soccer.
